About
Laura Congdon is a graphic designer with 29 years of experience in the direct-to-consumer catalog and e-commerce industry.
Laura’s career started with the great fortune to work for entrepreneur Nancy Zieman (original owner of Nancy's Notions and host of PBS Sewing with Nancy). Laura worked with Nancy’s Notions marketing team to develop the kitchen table start-up business into a nationally known direct-to-consumer retailer selling products that serve sewing, quilting, and embroidery enthusiasts globally. Laura has developed strengths in design, art direction, photo styling and art department management.
In 2019, Laura stepped away from the corporate world and began her own design business, Green Palette Design. Now Laura is able to do the graphic design she loves, but work for local small business and non-profits where her work can make a difference in the community.
For Laura, design isn't just a job—it's a way of life. Art finds its way into all aspects of her professional and personal time. With roots in small town Wisconsin, Laura can be found volunteering for local community organizations and events. Inspired by the outdoors, she enjoys painting and drawing wildlife.
